Everybody can be a PRO now!
“Nikon D90 has the sharpest image quality in market now.” This is wat i heard from a supplier. They claim that even Mark II cant fight with it.It is almost the same quality with Nikon D3X.
Always, I think all these NEW TECH is actually old one. This is the marketing tactic.They can come out 50MP straight away…but why they need to come out 10mp at first, then 12mp then 15mp?Y not straight away 20mp and everybody happy with it.
When there is a day, recording video and shooting photo doesn’t need a camera to take the job? We just record everything with our eyes.We can make a big movie by just thinking of it.No more animation and 3D effects, just think it and it will visualize become a movie.What if there is no more music instrument to make a good music or no more mixer to mix a good music?Just use our mind to think and the song come out itself.
Things are going to be tough and tougher in the future. What we should invest and what we should not is very hard for us to decide.Especially in design field. Western people can spend 10 thousand USD to buy a hand drawing. Agency spend millions to advertise a brand. How about us in Malaysia?
Video and photography is some RICH PEOPLE HOBBY.Some people really admit and cant agree more about this. One lens cost RM20k, one camera cost RM50k.I bought Canon 400D about RM3k, spend money on speed light, a few lenses, camera begs, memory card, card reader, cleaning tools….almost RM10k, and it is just a basic needs for photography.After 1 year, it come out new model, selling in cheaper price and with higher spec.What the hell is this?
So, the conclusion is still back to the basic, SKILL.A skillful person can shoot a good photo even using a camera phone. Ideas, practice, concepts,angle, composition, color adjustment,editing….all these are what we should focus in.
Who say holding a RM50k camera is 100% a pro?But many will say holding a handycam is NOT PRO ENOUGH!Well hiring a cameraman who own a RM50k camera to shoot your wedding will cost your life time saving to pay for it.Do you have it?If you are holding a MARKIII and shoot like compact camera, do not show it to me how good is your camera.Show me how good is your skill.I would love to praise you and your camera if you really that good.
We are not the slave for technology.It will make us lazy and think less and LEARN LESS!Technology will make us old faster!
This is a way, a job, a interest to hold our memory back, to stop the time and to leave good memories behind. So enjoy it but do not do it if you dont like it.Do not take it if you think it can value with technology and money.
Before switching to a big and more advance camera, lets start everything from the basic. If you can come out a good quality product with lower spec, it means you are skillful.Be prepared for the new challenge.2009 will be a good year to learn to become a skillful person.
